In the early part of her career Barbara Levey studied at Hofstra University and Parsons School of Design. Barbara was entrepreneurial at an early age which led her to create her own design and decorative arts company.
In the 1980's at the start of building conversions Barbara established a business of buying tenant's rights.
As a logical extension of this experience, she started a career in Real Estate brokerage. Some twenty years ago she met Joanne Douglas and joined the Douglas Team with whom she has enjoyed successfully working with ever since.
As an owner and partner in a number of apartment complexes in New York andPortland Oregon, she knows both sides of the real estate market challenges. With a wealth of business acumen and accumulated wisdom, she has successfully helped buyers and sellers navigate this ever changing marketplace.
