Douglas Elliman

Elizabeth has lived in different areas of Manhattan for over 25 years. She has witnessed neighborhood transformations, and is intimately familiar with the pros and cons of living in specific areas. Elizabeth is also a member of a family with a long and active history of New York City real estate development. This unique perspective allows her to understand both the seller's and buyer's concerns, and gives her an advantage in bringing parties together in successful deals.

Elizabeth received her real estate license in 2005. She has brokered many luxury rentals and sales in Manhattan, Williamsburg and Long Island City, and focuses on sales in all special NYC communities. Elizabeth believes in the old adage that states: “90 percent of success is showing up.” She personally handles all open houses for her listings, and spends hours looking through listings for suitable apartments for her clients. She also greatly enjoys physically visiting each home she selects, and being hands on every step of the way for her clients whether they are seeking a dream space or selling a prized property.

Her advice to all clients is to narrow their focus and keep it simple. For buyers and renters she says: “Establish the neighborhood you would like, type of building, amenities, floor level, ceiling heights, and consider if you want to live in that same area five years from now. You may need to look at several apartments or alter your wish list a bit before you find the right one, but when you do, you will know it.” For sellers: “Ignore the sales figures you hear from others and concentrate on your needs. If you must sell your apartment in 90 days, price it that way. If you have two interested parties with offers close in number, absolutely pick the buyer with the stronger credit.”

Raised on the North Shore of Long Island, Elizabeth moved to Manhattan to study at Fashion Institute of Technology. She has lived in the Gramercy Park area, Chelsea, and several buildings on the Upper East Side. Her life experience in NYC started with attending college to getting married to having kids and navigating the private school system, making her a valuable resource for others in all life phases.
