Nancy Candib joined Brown Harris Stevens in 1991. A specialist in townhouses, co-ops and condominiums, and familiar with all areas of Manhattan, Ms. Candib has always been among the top-ranking residential brokers in the firm. Nancy was recently recognized by The Wall Street Journal and Real Trends for being in the top one-half of one percent of all real estate agents in the country. Nancy was also recognized by The Wall Street Journal and Real Trends for being in the top one-percent of all real estate agents nationwide for sales volume in 2010. The Real Estate Board of New York honored Nancy Candib in 2001 with the Residential Deal of the Year Award, for what was considered to be the most challenging and complex transaction in the sale of two buildings on Park Avenue. Ms. Candib's achievements include selling the most expensive private townhouse in New York City in multiple years, each time representing the firm's biggest deal of the year. Nancy has worked for over 25 years as a real estate broker. Ms. Candib is the mother of two grown children and makes her home on the Upper East Side. A native of western Massachusetts, she earned a BA in history from Brandeis and an MA in history of art and architecture from Boston University. Having lived in Europe, mainly in Spain and in Switzerland, Ms. Candib is proficient in Spanish and French. Among her favorite leisure activities are gardening, horseback riding, skiing and traveling abroad. In the News Nancy was featured in The New York Times Homes, December 2011. The Wall Street Journal and Real Trends ranked Nancy in the top one-half of 1% of agents in the nation in sales volume for 2010. Nancys exclusive at 30 Fifth Avenue was featured. Nancy was quoted in a story in the Wall Street Journal on June 12, 2010. Nancys $25 Million closing at 15 Central Park West was one of the Top Deal of the Week.
