Russell Caputo

Russ Caputo, has been on the Hamersley Team for five years now and is tenacious, humorous, hard-working and truly loves this city! Born and raised in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Russ believes that with all his various homes and jobs over the years, he has walked almost every square inch of Brooklyn and Manhattan at least once, preparing himself for a future in real estate before he even knew that was his ultimate calling! He has closed over 200 NYC real estate transactions to date and loves his job, and it shows! Russ is passionate about helping people and doing the right thing. His word is gold.

Russ graduated from Marist College in upstate NY where he got his BA in Communications. Originally a singer/writer/musician, Russ' first-ever gig was at The Spiral Club in the Lower East Side, and his band, Newborn Kings, went on to play several shows at the historic CBGB, Continental, Elbow Room, Pyramid Club and Don Hills. He has also performed in several Off-Broadway theatrical productions and even opened for Jewel at the Jones Beach Amphitheater, PNC, Boston Fleet Center and Broward Center.

From there, Russ worked at ABC Sports, MSG Networks, MTV and New Line Cinema, then at several major NYC law firms and S & P, and he even started his own commercial cleaning company! More recently, Russ was a real estate paralegal, and that experience left him well-versed in all the legal ins-and-outs of the business along with a desire to finally jump into real estate as a broker himself.

A homeowner himself now, Russ had previously rented in various neighborhoods such as Hell's Kitchen, Soho, Midtown East and the East Village, so while he has a great familiarity with all these areas, he also works extensively on the Upper East, Upper West and Greenwich Village. When not showing apartments and townhouses, you can still catch Russ and the Newborn Kings performing at places like Bowery Electric and Arlene's Grocery.
