Heather Burns has been working closely with Carolyn and Paul Zweben for over a decade and is grateful to have learned the ins and outs of this constantly shifting business from such seasoned and professional brokers. The award-winning Zweben Team is consistently ranked among the top Douglas Elliman agents, citywide.

A consummate professional, it is vitally important to Heather that her customers know that she always has their best interests at heart and will work tirelessly and cheerfully to make sure that each step of the process is handled carefully and thoughtfully in hopes of making this sometimes stressful sales or purchase transaction as seamless and stress-free as possible. She takes special pride in not just "getting it done" but making sure it is done right the first time.

Heather's naturally outgoing and friendly personality has helped her build a useful professional network of other top brokers, managing agents, attorneys, and mortgage brokers. These relationships have proven immensely important and at times have given her and her clients the edge that has helped to secure properties and smooth over common issues that can occur during a real estate transaction.

Following in Paul Zweben's marriage of real estate and restaurants, in 2013, Heather and her husband opened St. Gambrinus Beer Shoppe, a craft beer bar and bottle shop in downtown Brooklyn, adjacent to the Barclay Center. The opening of St. Gambrinus was the culmination of over 10 years of solid "research" in craft, micro-brew beer with the expertise and business-mindedness of a real estate perfectionist.

Heather graduated Magna Cum Laude from Adelphi University and went on to do graduate work at Fordham University and the University of Michigan studying Medieval Art and Architectural History. Before beginning her real estate career, she worked at several museums throughout the city including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn Museum and as an educator and docent at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

Heather and her husband live in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn and love trying new restaurants and local breweries as well as doing lots of seasonal home cooking. Heather also maintains a regular yoga practice, which she believes is what has made all the other pieces of her life fall gracefully into place. Om!
