A Brooklyn resident for nearly twenty years, Denver Butson has lived in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, and now Carroll Gardens and thinks affectionately of Brooklyn as "a smaller town than the small town I was raised in in Pennsylvania." Having rented hundreds of apartments and sold numerous co-ops, condos and townhouses, Denver is proud of his reputation as a calm, fair, and intelligent broker who is liked by tenants, landlords, buyers, and sellers alike. He often says that because he lives, works, and raises his daughter in this neighborhood it is important to him to provide informed and honest service to his customers and clients because he'll be seeing them often on the playground, on the sidewalk, in restaurants, or online at the wine shop or fish market. A poet with four published books and dozens of poems in anthologies, journals and on National Public Radio, Denver's writing has gleaned praise from some of our most well-respected writers. In an effort to bring poetry to a wider audience, Denver has collaborated with Grammy-nominated musicians, Emmy-winning filmmakers, and celebrated painters, photographers, sculptors, and actors, including his wife the actress/activist and former PS 29 PTA co-President, Rhonda Keyser. An avid home chef and gardener, , you can often find Denver at the Greenmarket or one of our local food shops, or walking around the neighborhood with his wife and daughter.
