Kari Kaplan is known for her dedication, accessibility and reliability. Kari does business with integrity and honesty – and would always do the right thing. I know I can trust her to find the right properties, at the right time and for the right price,” says Jim Carbone, who has invested in dozens of properties throughout the United States.

While with Hewlett-Packard, she exceeded sales quota projections by 10% to 45% for 10 years and achieved new business contracts with both domestic and international corporations. While Kari's business acumen, sales achievements and wealth of contacts certainly do impress, her unique charm, vibrant personality and caring nature are equally captivating.

A real New Yorker Kari grew up in Queens and has lived in nearly every New York City neighborhood, from the Village to the Upper West Side, where she now resides. As a result, she knows New York like the back of her hand. “You give me the name of a building and I'll tell you where it is,” Kari says. Her personal experience is key to the insight she provides property buyers, sellers and investors throughout Manhattan, the city's outer boroughs and Westchester County.

Kari, who graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a B.S. in Marketing, excelled at information systems sales. She consistently ranked in the top 10% of Hewlett-Packard's sales force. Her vertical market expertise included such niche markets as real estate, retail, media giants and education. She earned accolades from the dean of Columbia University's Graduate School of Business for her work on obtaining a grant of computer equipment for the school. Prior to her natural transition to residential sales, Kari ambitiously generated new business as an independent consultant for location start-ups.

Kari has volunteered for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and does patient advocacy work. She is also devoted to animal rights and knowledgeable about pet-friendly buildings in the city. Born into a family of Giant season ticket holders, Kari considers herself a football fanatic and never misses a game. For relaxation, she feeds her friends. A culinary enthusiast, she has studied at the Culinary Institute. She specializes in banzai brownies and sensational salads. Kari's business is based on referrals. The “secret” to her success: “It's simple: I always look out for my clients' interests first. Everything else is secondary.”
