Debra Blachowiak

Debra has been in the real estate business on Kauai for over 41 years now . She was part owner and Principal Broker of the original Sotheby's brokerage on Kauai, Sleeping Giant and now works as the managing broker for the Lihu'e office of Oceanfront Sotheby's. She specializes in luxury properties, especially large tracts of land and oceanfront parcels. However, Debra will take on the challenge of any type of Kauai property from selling a $20,000 State Lease on a Kokee Cabin to luxury vacation rental to commercial properties and everything in between. Debra likes to give her time to projects that help the community grow and improve and serves on a variety of non-profit boards on Kauai. She is interested in community theater and has produced yearly large Broadway style musicals for the Kauai community to enjoy since 1997. She has been practicing Transcendental Meditation since 1971 and is a teacher of TM. She has an undergraduate degree in Biology and enjoys being outdoors and gardening. She lives in the Omao area of Kauai with her husband, Ernie, a tennis instructor and substitute teacher, and next door to her mom, Nancy Golden, who is the founder of Nana's House in Waimea. Daughter Juli now works in the film industry in LA. Debra prides herself on finding her Buyer clients their perfect property match and also, zeroing in on the current market for her Seller clients. She particularly loves to meet new people and enjoys the diversity of clients that she has worked with over her long career.
