Susan is an Associate Broker at Brown Harris Stevens with a 40+ year history of comprehensive real estate brokerage, marketing, branding, and consulting services. Her clients have ranged from individuals and small businesses to multi-billion-dollar international conglomerates. Susan has been in the top tier of BHS agents year after year. Susan's first job in real estate was with a major national real estate company in New Jersey, where she ranked nationally in the top 3% of all licensed real estate agents. In 1980, she joined Merrill Lynch Realty as Director of Marketing, later becoming Vice President of Domestic and International Sales and Marketing. Susan was instrumental in creating the firm's international cross-referral sales network linking the overseas Private Client brokerage offices of Merrill Lynch with the domestic offices of Merrill Lynch Realty. Her strong marketing and high net-worth luxury branding skills were the foundation for developing highly successful marketing strategies and tools for the company. Applying her public relations and branding skills, Susan was successful in enhancing the image of some of the firm's mid to luxury, high-end realty offices in strategic markets. During her tenure at Merrill Lynch Realty, Susan was also responsible for the national sales, marketing, advertising, and public relations for the 480 wholly owned and operated residential real estate offices across the United States. In this capacity, Susan oversaw 10,000 agents. When Merrill Lynch sold its real estate operations to Prudential Real Estate affiliates in 1989, Susan organized her own New York City-based firm, Jean-Marc Levet & Partners. With offices in Paris and New York, the firm served high-net worth clients, including owners of residential and commercial real estate. In 1996, Susan merged her company into Brown Harris Stevens. In addition to brokering high-end residential sales and commercial sales/leasing, Susan has acted as sales and marketing consultant for the following international residential and resort developments: Kensington Green in London, England; Sandy Port in Nassau, Bahamas; Virgin Grand in St. Johns, US Virgin Islands; and the Four Seasons Resort and Hotel in Nevis, WI. Susan is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York, the New York State Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors, and the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors. Susan is currently a member of the International Board of Directors of FIABCI and immediate past President of FIABCI-USA (2017-2018). Over the last three decades, Susan has been a lecturer and special guest speaker, sharing her knowledge of the practices of international brokerage, cultural overviews and protocols, and international real estate topics with real estate professionals and associations all over the world. She has taught continuing education courses on international topics for the Real Estate Board of New York, the New York State Association of Realtors, and the New York University School of Real Estate. Susan is also a member of the faculty of NAR's Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation and has taught this curriculum across the USA and Europe for more than two decades. She holds the FIREC FIABCI designation and CRS NAR designations. These numerous personal, professional, and business activities have given Susan a well-rounded and broad exposure to international real estate markets and specifically, the unique luxury high-end real estate category.
