Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE) Caroline Brown brings to each of her deals over 25 years experience as a broker in New York City. With her many friendships and broad knowledge of New York City, she has sold hundreds of homes on the East and West Side and in Hudson Heights. As a certified NYRS (New York Residential Specialist), CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert) and CBR (Certified Buyer Representative), Caroline provides clients with the highest quality and broadest range of services and expertise in the New York City real estate industry. Caroline has been an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) for 25 years. She serves on the REBNY Education Committee and Sales Persons Council. Caroline grew up in Tennessee and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University where she was the first woman editor of the University newspaper and active in the University Theater. She received her Master's Degree from Harvard University and was a PhD candidate in History at Yale University. After graduate school, Caroline moved to New York City to teach history at Hunter College, City University of New York. She has widely traveled Europe, Africa, the Middle and Far East and served on the World Service Council and the World Mutual Service Committee of the YWCA of the City of New York. Caroline has been involved all her life in historic preservation and education. She has served on the boards of several museum houses. She received the Metropolitan Historic Structures Association's Crystal Apple Award for distinguished service in historic preservation in New York City. Caroline is a published photographer. Among her work are her photographs in Period Details, published by Crown Press in New York and London, a classic resource in the decorative and design field. Caroline and her family sold their East Side co-op and discovered Hudson View Gardens, built in 1924 as one of the oldest continuous co-ops in New York City, a most charming Tudor complex set in exquisite plantings and gardens, indeed one of the best kept secrets in New York. Caroline has sold over 130 apartments in Hudson View Gardens and hundreds of apartments in Castle Village, Cabrini Terrace and Fort Tryon Tower; and in buildings on Cabrini Blvd; and on Fort Washington, Chittenden, Bennett and Haven Avenues; Overlook Terrace; and Inwood and Riverdale. Caroline's love of people and her concern for each individual buyer and seller brings her to know that each buyer and seller has individual dreams and needs. Her dream is to help each one achieve their own dream and fulfill their own needs related to one of their most important decisions, buying and selling their home.
