Lacie Defraties

Lacie joined Jameson Sotheby’s in 2021 with a serious passion to serve the people of Chicago. She grew up in the Chicagoland area, later to become a DePaul Cheerleader and D1 athlete. Living in downtown Chicago ignited her passion to build and develop the ever expanding communities within. After finishing her degree at Indiana University, she widened her experiences by residing in both Arizona and California. Upon moving back to Chicago, Lacie merged her love of networking, client relations, and real-estate in what she knows best- the downtown Chicago market. Having a long career serving others in the hospitality industry, Lacie has fine-tuned her abilities to dial in on her clients’ needs, and relentlessly deliver results. She is patient, hardworking, up front and most of all- loves to ensure her clients have a good time! On top of her true-to-self authenticity, her confident attitude makes her an expert negotiator when it comes to closing deals. No one is too blunt or too shy that she cannot connect with, making the all around home buying experience one to remember.

Being a condo owner herself, Lacie spent a year working closely with three different HOA Boards, learning the ins and outs of condo management, budgeting, and the business it takes to keep a high-end association running. From Doorstaff, maintenance to engineering and plumbing projects. Lacie's experience has excelled her expertise as a condo professional engulfing her knowledge well beyond the typical agent. Managing over a $100 million dollar portfolio, Lacie is entrusted by many homeowners to provide white glove service and attention to their homes and investments.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys taking oil painting and clay sculpting classes at Palette and Chisel, spending time with her cat, Nala, and hitting the lake front on the Divvy bikes. She can be caught roaming the neighborhoods of Chicago, hitting all of the top restaurants and gyms in the city and spending time with her community.

Being a true city dweller, Lacie ditched her car and has been gaining firsthand experience of all Chicago has to offer. It is one of Lacie’s top priorities to ensure her clients are placed in an area that best suits their hobbies and lifestyle. She knows an environment directly influences one’s day-to-day activities, therefore she strives to make sure that each client is educated and informed of the neighborhood around them in order to give them a helpful start in their new adventure.
