Julia earned her Real Estate License after a successful 15-year career as a structural engineer at internationally recognized Thornton Tomasetti. Working with real estate development companies throughout the Chicagoland area exposed Julia to the complex intricacies of design, construction and renovation which piqued her interest in the field of real estate. This experience provides Julia with a truly unique perspective in real estate in general and is a natural segue for her as a real estate agent where she can deliver a full service set of skills to her clients.
Through her corporate experience, Julia honed in on her client services skills which including diligence, determination and dedication. Consequently, Julia prides herself on her ability to connect with her clients and truly listen and understand their needs. Her trained eye for renovation and construction along with her sincere interest in her clients’ well-being uniquely positions Julia as a trusted consultant to help her clients customize a house to make it a home!
Julia attended Duke University earning a B.S.E in Structural Engineering, a certificate in Architectural Engineering and a minor in Art History. After college, Julia worked as a project engineer at Thornton Tomasetti in Washington DC, London and Chicago. She was an adjunct professor at Northwestern University teaching High Performance Building Design.
Born in Philadelphia, Julia has called the Chicago area home since 2011. She now resides in Wilmette, after living in several Chicago neighborhoods, with her husband, John, two young daughters, Emilia and Ella, and an energetic Weimaraner, Wisco. Julia is engaged in the community and serves as the Parent Association President at her daughters’ preschool.
