Having represented some of the top developers and builders in Chicago, Mark has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the construction process, from land acquisition and architectural planning to the marketing of the property. In 2010, he led the rollout of the new Sotheby's International Realty luxury brand affiliate and for 2 years managed the day-to-day operations of up to 75 agents. Mark's extensive background brings exceptional value to his clients and takes his role as trusted advisor to the next level.
Working in conjunction with fellow Jameson Sotheby's broker Stephen Todd, their partnered approach ensures that every client receives an unparalleled amount of personal attention and industry expertise. Prior to becoming a broker, Mark followed his passion into the music industry, where he built a successful career as a record company executive and record producer. Through the record label he founded, Beatville records, he released successful side projects from members of several multi-platinum selling bands. His finely honed skills in contract negotiation, marketing and promotion serve his clients well in real estate as he navigates the process to their advantage. One of Mark's strength is his ability to design creative solutions and provide a thoughtful, analytical and realistic evaluation of each individual client and their unique needs.
Living in Chicago for over 10 years, Mark is well-versed in the distinct neighborhoods of the city enabling him to assist buyers in finding their ideal fit while helping sellers optimize their results. He has also relocated numerous clients and their families to suburban homes. Growing up in Holland, Mark is conversant in Dutch and German, and enjoys navigating the Chicago real estate market for international clients.
Mark earned his B.A. in Political Science at Ithaca College in New York and his M.A. in Marketing at Emerson College in Boston.
